Back in the 60s and 70s shops in my industry used to dump chemicals for making printed circuit boards right down the drain and into the sewer. Today one is fined millions of dollars for doing this by accident.

You are confusing the real issue, it's not green house gasses that are making the Chinese sick, it is the pollutants that industry is dumping down the drain and out the back door becauses it's cheaper then doing the right thing. In due time they will wake up and fix the problem.

Russ's comments about being sick were related to air quailty... This poor air quality is due to all the pollutants that are going into the water supply and on the ground. This is then emitted into the air via dust and evaporation of polluted water.
