>>>When do you think we'll start withdrawing troops in significant numbers?

(Somehow this never got answered when I asked it earlier.)<<<

There are two ways to go:

1) What I suggested in my initial response to you, which I thought was a comprehensive response to your question. I would prefer to see the withdrawal happen in a comprehensive backdrop of international and Arab support.

2) Failing this, immediately pull out now--no redeployment to a nearby MidEast nation. Only be in the MidEast if invited for a specific reason; not simply because we want to be there.

I suspect Bush will do neither. He's on record as saying the next president may have to deal with getting the troops out.

So when will we start to see a significant withdrawal? Either when Bush is removed from office or if Republicans put pressure on him to begin withdrawing just ahead of the '06 elections.
