"Just because you don't accept the truth doesn't change anything, marcos."

Oh, but I do accept truth, ole 49r. Truth comes as a result of a long process of deductive reasoning based on solid evidence, a process unfinished in this case. When and if truth is arrived at, I will post here publically my acceptance of it.

"You FINALLY asked when..."

As I remember, didn't you sort of twist my arm to encourage me to ask you? As I've said before, I don't personally much care about this little side-story. What I do find fascinating, though, is the vehemence and the downright panic of your reaction to Adrian asking a few logical and inevitable questions.

"No contrition here."

I noticed this before. I noticed it in your friend mikesloan, and in your friend Lalit Jain.

Contrition when combined with confession can be cleansing for the soul, very beneficial. In M‚xico there are many cat¢licos, they go to the priest and confess their sins, then they are free to live and sin again, unburdened by the weight of the past. The people are happy, it is a good system. I recommend it.

"And no fear either."

I smell fear, ole 49r. It is not a pleasant smell. Let us explore ways and means of restoring that Rosey odour of yesteryear.

"I made good money on Bre-X, am grateful, and still have "cheap but profitable" shares on my hands."

Good for you, ole 49r, but this is your own affair, it is no business of mine and I do not find it particularly interesting, especially after you have posted this information one hundred and seventy-four times already. Btw, it is my own tendency to post in SI regarding my mistakes, as opposed to bragging about my successes, as I believe more can be learned from mistakes, and there is more humour in them. In one of my cultures, the British, it is considered bad form to toot one's own horn, and especially to brag about the making of money. In the other, the Mexicano, it is often unwise to reveal the source of one's finances. But to lapse for a moment into your American style, I have taken more out of the stock market than I ever put into it, I continue to do well through the magic of diversification combined with hard work in stock-picking, and my grandchildren will be provided for very, very well.

"That comes from mastering greed, amigo, a lesson you obviously have yet to learn. You, however, are a loser in the highest order, maybe to be pitied, but still a bitter loser, nevertheless."

It is good to know that you regard me as an amigo, a friend. Friendship is a Good Thing, isn't it? I'm sure you agree that friendship carries with it the responsibility to keep each other informed, so permit me to tell you that my friends in Real Life know me as sweet, sometimes acid, sometimes nutty, but never, never bitter.

Oh, and sometimes friends can help each other with their vocabulary. Ole 49r, this paragraph is the same one, in the same wording, that you have used so many times to so many people, don't you think it's a little.......well,...shopworn now? There are other words, for instance "pusillanimous". Isn't that a great word? It has sort of a lilt to it, and it has 5 syllables too. Try it in a sentence, if you like it a lot you could even look it up and see what it means.

"Grow up and get a grip."

Age shall not weary me, ole 49r, nor the years condemn. When you say "grip", do you mean one like yours? Btw, where did you get it?

"he'll take you on anytime you want to show up at the front door."

Well, that's right neighbourly of him, ole 49r, just post your address and I'll stop in on my way by sometime. Of course, it's pretty hard to find a door much fronter than SI, eh, being so public and all.

Ta ta for now, ole 49r, nice chatting with you, have a nice week-end.... marcos
