For sure it was not a flesh like body that we have

True, in that it was no longer mortal; but had been made into an immortal flesh and bone body. But, it was the same one in which He lived for @ 33 years and which was buried. (1 Cor 15:1-4). But now He lives in it again forever immortal. It still bears the marks of His execution -- the very ones Thomas insisted must be there if it was really Him raised from the grave. Those marks prove that it was not a replacement body, but the same one in a glorified state -- hence, the empty tomb. Paul says if this did not happen, then our faith is meaningless - 1 Cor. 15.

So, too, we will be resurrected into the same body we currently live in and which will be buried one day, but it too will be raised glorified from its grave. That is our hope as believers -- to be raised back to life in the body just as Jesus was.
