Despite the opinions of folks like the one you describe, American blacks and hispanic or other immigrants are not usually real sympathetic to one another.

I lived and worked in the DC area in the '80s. At the time, there was a lot of friction between the blacks and Koreans. Seems the Koreans were moving into inner city neighborhoods, buying convenience stores. They'd work their asses off, and have mom, dad, kids, grandma and grandpa all working.

Seems the blacks didn't like this, and thought it was unfair that the Koreans could succeed where the blacks couldn't.

Gee. Wonder why?
