etchmeister, AMD might be able to get some sales by being a better copy than the original. But unless they branch off to their own proprietary architecture, they'll just be a second source. As I said a while back, I just don't see how these intelligent people on this thread can think AMD will defeat Intel in a price war. I am now convinced that hatered of Intel and wishful thinking clouds their minds on this issue. Sarmad
