Did Infinity feel that the DPII way to go gave them
more independence than an IPO and a large Novartis
shareholder?

This is not an answer, but fwiw...
Novartis was a DPI customer, and Livingston was once
Director of Chemistry at the Genomics Institute of the
Novartis Research Foundation. Now Livingston I think
heads up the work that DPI does for the Molecular
Libraries Small Molecule Repository.

We used to have a forecaster at our office of
the Weather Service who said if all the lines
cross in one spot, it will rain there <g>

I like your read better than the Yahooligan that
assigned a "strong sell" to dpii and mocked the
deal because Novartis isn't providing the funds.
Who can say--I assigned to my last post on Yahoo
a "strong buy". I like the deal, and the pattern
recognition.

I'll be here long after my DPII converts to INFI--
there isn't a lot of incentive for me to get the
questions answered ahead of time, I am going to
ride my shares for a few years either way.
Thorough DD ahead of time, newsflow and short
term trading is one way to play--I leave that
for the real biotechies here on SI like Tuck
and Rick. I beleive that much of what a person
needs to know own shares is infact unknown.
I'd just assume gamble and try and enjoy the
ride.

On Saturday I will finally listen to the conference
call and post any notes. There might even be a
transcript filed for all I know.
