I went to my friend's local bookstore to an authors' reception (not my books, unfortunately) and was pleasantly surprised by the inexpensive wine she had been suggested to buy by our local Kappy's. It was Citra (Italy) 2004 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo for $5. Much better than you might expect. The have other wines also that I haven't tried yet. SG
