I don't agree. There will be many, many employers who will still prefer to take their chances with illegals. You'd have to compensate by making the penalties so harsh that it borders on the ridiculous. And for what? Hiring someone "undocumented" guy who's willing to work for real cheap?


Yes, harsh penalties. Jail time, big fines.

For what? So that citizens at the low end of the wage scale are not working poor... so that they can live a decent life and afford to have children. As Ted said, 30% of our population is dropping out of high school.
