Not sure where that story came from..

If you read the books on the Afghan campaign that I have been reviewing here, you would know that was his motivation. He figured he could tie us down in Afghanistan just like the did the Russians.

I didn't bring up Clinton. But it was Clintons inability to get the DOD to move on Bin Ladin that caused 911. We could have taken him out at his compound in Kandihar several different times, but the lawyers running DOD said, "Couldn't do that. Wouldn't be prudent. We might kill some civilians."

In a perfect world, a squadron of B-52's would have leveled that compound on 9/12.
