Hi Claude,

I'm more of a TA trader, then anything so I just play what I perceive to see in the charts.

Usually I'm wrong, but sometimes I'm right

I have more or less ceased my trading activity since the end of December. I am fully invested in the 'old yellow relic, will probably be for sometime to come. (depending, of course, on the charts - monthly or weekly. The daily & shorter times frames have become very difficult for me to trade the PM's successfully.)

It was a different trading environment when nobody wanted them... (PM's)

Just playing the trend thingie these days.

Unlike the last 3 or 4 years I am finding it very difficult to trade PM's. And I'm very worried that I might miss a parabolic move in the PM's.

Something has changed, not sure what, possibly currency related FWIW only. Who knows????

Responses are fun to read too...

I think your PM philosophy is essentially correct.

I'm only about 65% invested, but thinking strongly of going the full monty (You can leave your hat on).

The reason I think you're right is kind of weird. You're a college man. You ever study any Quantum Mechanics? I did. Really cool stuff. Relevance? Read on.

Anyway, most people have heard about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, that the position and momentum of a particle can only be known to a certain accuracy. The more you know about one, the less you know about the other.

Turns out there is another "uncertainty pair", namely energy and time, and this has been on my mind. The obvious analogy to the stock market is that the bigger the move you're expecting, the less accurate you can estimate when it will come, and vice versa.

Well, enough ramblings for a Sunday morning......

You look like a frigging genius, big guy.

I'm still 25% cash waiting for the dips that won't come. Still, can't complain.
