Deutsche Morgan Grenfell said it downgraded MEMTEC LIMITED ADRS
to hold from buy. It said stock had exceeded firm's price target
on the stock and UNITED STATES FILTER CORP.'s takeover offer on
speculation that U.S. Filter or a white knight would raise the
stakes for the company. DMG said that following discussions with
potential buyers, including Pall Corp. and Millipore Corp., "we
are not willing to endorse on a white knight scenario or that USF
would raise its offer significantly." (Reuters 10:35 AM ET
