Yes.

No. It is just the first quarter where Intel has had to cut prices to try to stem the market share loss. They are trying that by cutting prices on only a few models and retaining prices on most.

"So when we get Intel's report next week we'll see whether Intel has bled a river, or more likely made several multiples of AMD's profit."

Nope, they won't bleed, Yet. But the sign of future prospects will be there. Gross margin will be below AMD's, for example. Stock holder's equity will be down, again. Just look at the numbers.
