Bush-Cheney outed the CIA agent PLAME, a top Iran nuclear program expert. This really hurt our intlligence gathering in Iran. COuld have resulted in major damage. And if Risen's story is true that makes Plame even more important. In other words a real disaster in Iran for the CIA.

Cheney dealt with Iran illegally as the head of Halliburton and the Reagan-Bush administrations sold and traded tons of heavy weapons to both Iran and Iraq. The rightwing's ties to Iran go way back.
