I agree that Biofuels is the biggest growth industry for the next several years.

There are several other biofuel plays.

In ethanol there are only two public pure ethanol plays.

XTHN - Xethanol ($10.85)

Has one existing ethanol plant, quite small, has a proprietary yeast developed from yeast in the gut of the wood borer beetle. It ferments cellulose directly with out the need for a beginning stage of converting cellulose and hemicellulose to glucose and xylose, thus it is much more efficient. They have plans for 8 plants converting (I think paper mill effluent) to ethanol. and tentative plans for four more. The paper mill effluent may well be a negative cost feedstock as it is an expensive disposal problem for paper mills now. These plants would be located in the Southeast. They also are exploring the California market.

PEIX - Pacific Ethanol ($29.27)

Presently has Corn to Ethanol plants in California, exploring several biomass ethanol possibilities including rice straw to ethanol and timber waste products to ethanol.

Another biofuels play is EBOF - Earth Biofuels ($2.55) which is presently manufacturing and distributing biodiesel.

I have owned each of these but presently do not own any of them other than Veridium.

Peripheral plays are of course the Greenshift Companies.

I also have this list I have not yet had time to check them out, they were in a stock tout from lebed.com

NECX $0.57
NSOL $1.95
NWGN $1.74
HRID $0.55
OTD $2.55
GPRE $49
IESV $0.062
MEMS $2.08
DDSU $0,70

As always the ideas expressed are mine and my opinions do your own Due Diligence.
