Accept the fact Bush-Cheney trumped-up, lied and mismanaged our way into Iraq which for them was basically a war for profit and power, not a war which served US interests or protected our homeland. Once you accept that, you'll start understanding why all the generals ar rebelling, why the troops want to come home, why hawks like Murtha are calling for a deadline and why Bush-Cheney are about as popular as OJ Simpson.

Next, what to do about about the massive industrial-corporate ripoffs of our public wealth, starting with the humongous energy gouging. The terms "regulation", "windfall profits taxes" and raising taxes on the rich all seem like very sound conservative ideas now. Because if don't start conserving our public wealth this nation is going to turn into something of a disgrace, where the rich rule, the middleclas and poor are exploited and the Masters Of War and Greed drive us down the road to unforgiveable sin and infamy.
