cruising denver in a 59 t-bird. dodging telephone poles that fell before us. riding roller coaster streets. walking dark alleys in the middle of the night we watched ghostly images peer at us from darkened windows. melting skin and falling hair. skeleton jaws clattering in white spot coffee shops.

orange sunshine barrels filled with rainbow colors. trippy laughter suspended between disbelief and fear. everything happened in one moment, that took all night. we took a trip without moving.

as hendrix sang about experience. the doors blew off our t-bird. now we piloted a starship.

and the seed that was planted grew in fertile soils of youth.

the big bang occurred that night. the universe is still expanding.

and always will.
