John, I agree, but it's always fun to see how something could be improved/changed/extended/varied for particular purposes. A handlebar is quite convenient. Hanging things from it for a start.

I gather from the sketch of the single wheel version that Segway is actually thinking of trying such a tricky thing. I take it that that's a patent application drawing, like the one of the woman on the original patent drawing.
