Silly Sylvie, the USA used the nukes to stop Japan and defeat them. It worked.

You can get links in Google to read about what Japan had been up to before Hiroshima was destroyed.

They had been rampaging through Asia for decades, murdering as they went. Heard of Nanking? They were horrific. Then they attacked the USA at Pearl Harbour. It's not really surprising that the USA decided enough was enough and it was time to defeat Japan. Having nuclear bombs made that process easier. Japan wouldn't surrender even after the first one. It took another to get the message through their thick heads.

Iran has the idea of nuking Tel Aviv, obliterating Israel, surviving any reprisals and hey presto, Islamic Jihad has won against the evil child-eating Jews. Or maybe it's just the blood of children that they drink, not the whole body. I'm not suggesting that Moslems are insane or anything. Some of them are probably passably lucid. But there seems to be a LOT of them who subscribe to weird and lethal ideas. Sometimes pogroms against Jews are not conducted for decades and life is harmonious. But the old murderousness seems to keep coming up. It makes sense to me that Israel quite likes having nuclear bombs and does NOT want Iran to get them.

Look where Israel is located and the attitude of the countries surrounding them.
