It wouldn't surprise me that Lincoln had gay affairs.........there is a lot more of that stuff than people believe. Besides, he and his wife both beat to a different drummer. I did a paper once for school on the paranormal and Mary Todd Lincoln was heavily into that stuff.

I think this country got prim and proper only twice in its history: a few years in the 1930s; then a few years again in the 1950s. The rest of the time I think they made believed they were prim and proper but in reality, were not.
