More News -- a competitor has 'review complete' FDA status (means next step, full approval) for a URINE based HIV test. The market likes it, the stock jumped and the word is that people will probably use this test since they don't have to stick themselves and prisons want it and hospitals want it, etc,etc. This is probably good & bad news for CMTR. Good, in that they dropped the 3-day HIV test which is now a slow/dead market. Bad, in that they (and others) are so far behind with an unpopular, blood-based, quick HIV test. These HIV test are just becoming a "me too" product & the saliva & urine based products will be far more popular with consumers & patients IMHO. I hope CMTR doesn't waste to much more time in this area and moves on to more promising research. My information came from the CALY thread, post #104 Hoping for good news soon, Randy L.
