otoh...from wsj "...Sycamore Networks, which develops optical networking products for telecoms, added two cents to $4.42 on Nasdaq on news that it will acquire telecom equipment maker Eastern Research for $92.5 million in cash and stock. Citigroup analyst Alexander Henderson was unimpressed by the deal, saying "we do not see any obvious revenue or technology synergies between Sycamore and Eastern's products and take this deal as an indication that Sycamore is not finding growth for its core product line and wishes to change focus." He maintained the firm's "sell" rating on Sycamore...."
