First of all it aint really smiling. On Russert yesterday i think the moslems may have gotten it right. In Islam there is no prohibition on abortion for the first 100 days of pregnancy because the soul is implanted on the 100th day. From that point forward its a life and there are no abortions permitted. Personally i agree with you but to impose that on others who dont believe it is not really possible. 100 days or as we call it first trimester seems fair to me. Currently its viablity or 5 or 6 months. I will say though that all kids should see sonograms from grade school on. Maybe then we will get more serious about contraception and more serious choices. What do you think about RU486? There is no sonogram for the day after and it typically takes 3 days for the fertilized egg to be implanted. RU486 would prevent alot of abortions if only it werent considered an abortion of sorts itself.
