re: Intel can't sell a 2.6 Conroe for $200, can they? If they did, then 85% of their product line would have to sell for less than $100, causing a massive meltdown in profit margin. Not only that, but if OEMs still have large inventories of Netburst, they will refuse to create any Conroe SKU's or buy any Conroe CPU's. This gives AMD a way to delay the rollout of Conroe. I think it makes sense for AMD to compete aggressively with a $150 dual core chip and <$75 Semprons to prevent Intel from lowering its OEM and channel inventories of Netburst stuff. Petz
