NAHB HMI nahb.org April down to 50, lowest since 9-11. Traffic of perspective buyers down to 39. The famous "strong spring selling season" is obviously not showing up this year. Expect trend to continue. "Single Family Sales: Next 6 months" is going to be the best indicator for salespersons's sentiments. April at 58 is already low. Are they throwing in towel for "strong summer selling season also"? June qtr is typically the strongest order qtr for builders (Dec qtr strongest closing qtr). So if May and June end up like April so far, 2006 is going to be bad.
