Your guess is as good as mine. The only thing that looks new is the 4.3 GB number and the cache size. The older number was 4GB wasn't it. The 'new' thing about the item is that it just isn't a PRNewsWire or BusinessNewWire release. They somehow got PCWeek to feature them.. that's a step up.
And... as much of the speculation around here has been lately, I don't think they would be announcing new products via PCWeek if they were going away.... And maybe 4.3 is a 'key' number for one of the OEM's in order to offer it as an option, or option replacement ie perhaps JTS can now be a 'second source' or a complete replacement for another 4.3 drive in someone's computer or laptop offering without them having to say 'now you go from 4.3 down to 4.0'...

Dunno... any other thoughts.
