Mitchell, Frostman, Vivus showed strength Friday. It is definitely being accummulated. I had sold my $ 25 position out at 30, last Mon I believe but because of the strength, I got back into it at 32 on Wed. Cost me 2 points !! So much for trading gg !! Maade the same mistake 2-3 months ago when I got out at 19 and got back in at 21!! Vivus keeps moving like a freight train. I did make 2 successfull trades however in the 26 -30 range ( shares sold twice to Jeff V ? gg) so my returns are good. I feel however that as we are appoaching eps, people are starting to get in and there is very little resistance above 33 because it was there only 3-4 days: probably 2-3 mill shares pre split. We should get through that by nest thurs and be at 36 by Fri at which time the short squeeze will begin, unless it starts on Mon or Tues??? gg if the shorts start panicking. I will use my old method again if the price dips below 31, buy more and average down.
Frosty, Re : " No, hold out till 50 ". You know already perhaps that for years I have been afflicted with a crippling disease called " Day trading Syndrome " which limits my vision, sometimes, to between 0930 and 1600 hrs of the day. Physicins have tried every remedy in the book except having a direct consultation with the famous academician Warren Buffett, M.D. However I have not given up. If the atmosphere on Oct 8 with Vivus at 40 + ?, and rising !!, is hot enough to spur me on and improve my vision, I will make a determined effort to hold it for 3 days to 45 - 50. At that I will interview the vivus thread, Richard, Mith, Gary B., Rubble, you etc and all the other knowledgable ( and patient?? gg ) folks and then decide. I s that a fair compromise?
