Walter and All:

I can tell you that management at FEET is treated poorly. They receive stock options and a decent salary with possible bonuses; however, they must give up their private lives almost completely. They work at the very least 6 days a week from very early in the morning until 11-12 midnight, sometimes as late as 2 a.m. During back-to-school and other busy times, they work 7 day weeks for a month on end. Family life is quite impossible and I know of one manager locally whose wife just filed for divorce because she never saw her husband. Children are sleeping when their father gets home and he is gone before they wake up. If the manager is working only 6 days a week, he is so tired on the 7th that he probably sleeps all day to catch up.

Too much is expected of the managers. In spite of the fact that they put in all those hours, they never seem to be able to do everything. Then they are berated and put down. Upper management uses "management thru fear." Pressure is so severe that managers have quit on the spot.

I don't know if it is standard procedure, but at FEET,if any money is missing from a register, the manager is docked from that week's salary.

As I remember other complaints and hear of more, I will keep you posted.
