My months were the same as yours (month sold)- the difference likely comes in your longer period (back to 1990).
July and August over the 1990-2000 period was probably more bullish.

I didn't look closely at April, so it is an interesting find that it was mostly bearish.
I will have to take a look at that.

About your 7 day period for COMP and DJ30- you said:

Do you then sell on the 5th trading day of the next month? Or by the third trading day before the end of the month,
do you mean the 4th to last day of the month (would be the 25th this month)?- thus selling at the close of the 4th
trading day of the new month.
