Please explain or elaborate on that "how to test" that Darwin showed. Darwin said the tests are in the fossil record. He predicted that in time fossils would be found of animals which were the precursers to current animals, and that in even older rocks there would be precusors to those animals. This has been shown in find after find. The test is to use a variety of measurements to determine the age of fossils and to see that in fact the ancestors preceed the decendants. TP
