Some nice really long-term charts here for perspective on today's runs: futuresbuzz.com Interesting how this one seems to be almost a recession indicator: futuresbuzz.com It spikes just before the economy slows - 1973, 79, 87, 94. Also note that all the spikes before this one were about the same amplitude, not quite a triple. The chart is missing recent data which have pushed this jump in prices out of the range of all historical price inflations. BC
