With respect to conservatives winning, didn't Diebold do pretty good also. I think it did, didn't it? Oh, wait--there was an indictment there high up in that company, wasn't there? Hey, who said conservatives are opposed to paper trails, or fair elections? Wasn't me--had to have been someone else. Who? Why? What are the facts? Are they convenient? For you, probably not.
But, nonetheless, the run-up to the War on Iraq proves how easily people become influenced--hey, play on fear! There's other kinds of fear too, you know: the fear of living next to a black person; the fear of living next to a homosexual; the fear that someone else's daughter (not one's own, of course) might have or need an abortion; the fear that someone else may not believe in the same god as you, that their prayer isn't as good as yours, etc.
And then there's also the fear that you may be wrong! |
