Remember, 1976... a long time ago. The first time I saw a VW I thought, what an ugly car. At that time I was driving a Ford Convertible with dual carbs...... The first time I saw Birkenstocks I said, what an ugly shoe. Ironies.. I ended up owning a VW.. The best car I ever had which I later shipped to the V.I. where it enjoyed a life of 15 year on the SAME TIRES... The Birkenstocks became fad and I had several pairs. So, lesson here. Never say NEVER... <g>
