I keep using the same word to describe what i feel needs to be done re: immigration and that is rationalization. Both sides need to cool the rhetoric. The illegals arent demons, they, like my grandparents, are coming here for opportunity. My grandparents were lucky, because there were no restictions on immigration back then. They workded just as hard and smelled just as bad after a day of manual labor or working in the sweat shops. Doesnt make these folks bad back then or now. On the other side lets not glorify these folks as anything more than they are--folks looking for jobs and an opportunity for their family. Surely there have been immigrants who have come here who have sought political freedom as well but for most it the streets paved in gold and jobs and a better life for the kids.
