I took the young 'uns to Disneyland- the brokenest place on Earth- but we had a great time anyway.

I have to say, I wouldn't go back willingly, and my kids NEVER want to go back. They got tired of waiting in lines, or getting fast passes, only to get to the head of the line and find out the ride was broken. Space Mountain shut down several times while we were there, Big Thunder Railroad shut down, the little train that runs around the park shut down, Screamin California- or whatever that roller coaster is in California Adventures shut down, as did some other rides.

Soaring Over California was the highlight of our trip- we ended up using most of our fast passes to ride that, and that one never shut down :-) We loved it- but it's not enough reason to ever go back.

It got to the point where it was just funny. We kept imagining what would happen if other businesses broke down like this. I don't know whether Disney just isn't able to keep up with maintenance (and they need to occasionally shut the park down completely to catch up)- or whether they are just loading the park past capacity, but whatever the reason, it's unpleasant- especially for little children, who we saw crying loudly and often. My kids were able to see the humor in it (most of the time).

We went to Medieval Times one night- which was a huge hit with the kids, and they also enjoyed the Rainforest Cafe.
