All can goods should be dipped in a clorox wash. cloroxprofessional.com There is a concentration of clorox that will also destroy chemical sprays on foods.........the Fat Flush Diet uses it as a wash for all vegetables to remove various pesticides, etc. It's callled Dr. Parcell's Food Bath and it is one teaspoon of clorox to one gallon of water, according to the Fat FLush Diet but a less concentrated solution can also be used.
