Hi Caroline, I own it now. I own 250 shares of Medtronic now. Have held it for about 1.5 years. Great return. It was recommended by my "former broker" at Paine Webber. It is the only thing that he did right over the past 3 years. ggg. They are still very bullish on this company. Fidelity Select Biotechnology, which I follow closely, has this stock as one of their top ten holdings. I may buy this sector soon. Medical Devices sector is looking very good over the next few years as the baby boomers, unfortunately, become more and more dependent on these medical wonders to sustain their lifes. I just posted to Lorraine that this seems ironic that investors benefit financially from others misfortunes. But, without investors their would be no company. I understanding earnings will slow a little in 1998. Have you heard any different ??? Peace, Dennis
