Pakistan was the primary DIRECT backer of the Mujahidin in Afghanistan. We supplied weapons and money, but the ISI essentially FORBADE the CIA from directly involving themselves with the actual Mujahidin units.

And yes.. there's little dispute that the Saudi GID was funding Bin Laden. Bin Laden was considered a Saudi agent (of course, the Iraqi IIS also claimed that Bin Laden was one of THEIR agents, as early as 1992).

And this is why I've claimed that the Saudi Royal family is primarily responsible for fueling the Islamo-Fascist movement. Of course, they did it in order to buy him off and protect their regime, but they did provide money to the Taliban.

But none that disputes what I've stated in my post.

So don't practice your dark arts of distraction by trying to twist my points.
