CVJ, Sorry to hear you are having so many problems with Charter. I've been with them for nearly four years and have been extremely pleased with their service, including and especially tech support.

At the time of the initial installation, the installer spent about an hour at my home, tweaking my humble laptop to maximum performance with their service.

A couple of years ago, my company sent me a new computer and it would not connect to the Internet. It turned out to be a singularly unique problem, and Charter's tech support spent about half a day on the telephone with me until we got things up and running.

Come to think of it, maybe I was the reason you had to wait so long for a tech support person. <g>

I will admit that there have sometimes been brief outages during inclement weather, but I can live with that.

I know that if you ask Charter to come to your residence and check things out, they will do it. This service is free, so long as it involves their installed equipment. - Holly
