I have friends who are heavy. They love the Birkenstock's. I gave up wearing mine a long time ago when a bunion I never addressed on my one foot made it impossible to fit in the space the B's provided.. I find special shoes now at Foot Solutions.. When I look back at life as I often do now at 75 I see that if I had worn sun block in the Virgin Islands where I spend 10 years out on a boat I might not have to see a dermatologist so often. IF I had not tried to squeeze my feet into a beautiful pair of leather boots I found in Pittsfield Mass... that were TIGHT... I would not have the problem with my feet which once fit into triple A...over 5 AAA heels... IF IF IF... Just a lot of that word.. When asked, would I do it again. Well, probably knowing what I know now because when young we never think about the future effects living in the now moment..
