I fear that as well but i think it was Christopher Whitcomb on IMUS this morning that said that was poppycock. One lesson the terrorists need to learn about assymetric warfare, particularly when there is an indentifiable country behind it, is that there assymetric suicide bombers attacking us on our soil will lead to the annihilation of their country--PERIOD. You dont really want to try to match bombpower with the US. Iran would be destroyed, not to mention the excuse it would give us to even use nukes on their fledgling nukes.
Now with al quaeda the story would be different because what more could we do, if there was no identifiable nation. I guess we could carpet bomb the tribal areas and track them across borders.
