Ashcroft found out and refused to fly commercial planes.
Cheney sent Bush Jr. on vacation and then let the attack happen so that it would provide a "catelizing event" and rally support for their attack on Iraq. Cheney got more than be planned in his "New Pearl Harbor" just like he got more than quail when he went hunting. Cheney's plans only make sense when he's drinking beer.
