Bushies wanted those oilfields, to profit off the war and to use the war as a political club to steal the senate and consolidate one-party rule, thereby weakening our democracy. That was their main plan, and it was linked with their plan to jack up energy and health care prices and loot our treasury by over-spending the under-taxing (the rich and corps) to the tune of trillions.
