Sweet heavens. "Tarnished his reputation"? To put that in perspective, imagine the incident had involved Nixon, or Jesse Helms, and ask yourself if the MSM and the Dims would treat it as a minor contretemps, and now refer to it as something that "tarnished" their reputations.
