To the thread,

My kids have led me to check this new "virtual" pet thing out as an investment opportunity.

I didn't realize I was walking into a family squabble between Bob & Marty. Both of you seem to have the same interest of making money - so you're either long, short, or out of the way. You read people's posts and either believe it as data/valid opinion, or ignore it. Marty, you smell to god heaven like a lawyer; and BOB, since you write your name in caps you probably like to sensationalize.

Myself, I get tired of the govenment taking my money, so I try to find supplemental ways of making it. I'm a firm believer in the Peter Lynch's theory of buying things you understand. My kids tell me these pet things are the hottest toy out there and buying one is next to impossible. Kids are tremendous consumers. Who cares if Bandai might have lost money in the past. Is this toy a blockbuster that can make a great year on the books? Does anyone know what percentage of Bandai"s earnings these pets represent now?

I've never owned a Japanese ADR (just Glaxo, which is British), are they normally dfficult to find disclosure?

Any help would be appreciated.
