Diehard Bush supporters who have no real issues to debate anymore (because they've been proven wrong on all of them) now keep talking about Chappaquiddick 35 years after it happened. Why? Well first, some perspective.

Chappy was a terrible tragedy, but the rightwingers infer that Teddy deliberately killed the woman, or could have saved her, or intentionally drove off the bridge. That is all non-sensical. They also talk about how drunk Teddy was, and maybe he was, but the accusers have no idea. And as for getting off light, Teddy was denied the White House because of Chappy. And Bush-Cheney have both gotten off various criminal charges because of their powerful names.

On the flip-side, the rightwing murdered both Teddy's brothers and denied us two great US presidents, so give it a rest against the Kennedys. If I were Teddy after that I'd drink too.

Also, Laura Bush really did slam into a boy and kill him with her car as a teen. Maybe even intentionally. Some say she had a crush on the boy but he spurned her. So if you want to go pointing fingers about vehicular manslaughter, try the sacred cow of the White House herself.
