Tanoose, I agree that a staged approach is most likely. But it will probably take a year to get to BFS stage (if they go the financing route). Alternatively, if POG continues on it's recent tear and they can get to 200,000 oz exit rate this year, there may be sufficient cash flow to fund this project internally.

Lets see the economics: Say POG stabilizes at $700 next year. Say they have 200,000 oz (conservatively). Say cash costs are about $275. That's $425 oz free cash flow x 200,000 oz. = US$85MM.

I suspect they could put together a few hundred thousand ounce a year heap leach mine for less than that. And with another year of combined cash flow, they could easily double production yet again...

Golden "Champagne" Champune could easily be Peggy's ticket to a 1MM oz producer...
