"they will judge her for treason." Perhaps, but she'll STILL be a hero to anyone who values human rights and a transparent democracy. She knew the potential cost, and did the RIGHT thing anyway. That's what heros do. I think the Bush admin. will avoid any REAL scrutiny of the secret offshore torture prisons by delining to prosecute. They really don't WANT people looking into what they were doing, nor do their partners, like Poland. If they have a trial, this will ALL come out (which it quite likely will anyway). Other than national shame and embarrassment, how is "national security" involved at all? -------------------------------------------------------------- The CRIME was operating secret offshore torture prisons (that's why they were offshore and secret!) - the PATRIOTIC AMERICAN ACT was revealing them. The woman deserves a genuine Medal of Freedom. She's a genuine hero. Would a German intelligence agent who revealed Hitler's camps and ovens have been a criminal in your eyes? How do you think history will judge Ms. McCarthy?
