This notion has started being pushed relatively recently with even less evidence than the notion of the effects and timing of global warming itself. More fearmongering methinks. Think about it. If that projection were valid, then there would be no point in hawking it. It's obvious that, even if everyone believed it, we couldn't make the necessary changes in ten years. If turning things around in ten years is unfeasible, it's already too late, which makes it time to switch to plan B, not holler about a ten year threshold. That's not at all constructive.

It's going to be a century BEFORE New York and Fl. are under water.

You say it as though it were a fact. I don't know if you are just writing shorthand or if you've drunk the Kool-Aid but it ain't a fact.
