EDIT Israel on high alert. Supposedly caught a potential suicider today.

From what i am hearing on cnn, fox and msnbc this was triple car bombing at a hotel and at an outdoor market which was packed. Sounds like final casualty figures will be over a 100 dead. An branch of Islamic Jihad that was where Zawahiri came from seems to be the villain at this time. Apparent goal is to further destabilize Mubarek regime. There were two other attacks in the past year like this in the sinai. It has the al quaeda hallmark of multiple well coordinated attacks. We are at the height of the tourist season and some are guessing that there was a message in bin ladens tape that gave the go-ahead although this is just speculation at this time. Israel has been warning its citizens to stay out of sinai. Bedouins participated in the last attack and they are nomads in that area.
